Should we disappear

There’s absolutely no doubt that fairly soon, all true born again-Christians will suddenly disappear. The number certainly won’t reflect the supposed number that many claim, as many mainline Protestant denominations teach salvation by works, or somehow leave out how one gets saved (in other words, they completely by-pass the need to be born again). And since the 1960’s, the efforts of two men (Jack Hyles and Bill Bright) have so white-washed the way we present the Gospel that it is questionable whether millions who imagine themselves born again are actually even saved!

However, that still leaves an estimated several million born again Christians who will suddenly vanish without warning. This is the long promised event known as the Rapture. You weren’t saved, and you missed it.

This is extremely bad news, as these will be the worst 7 years in the history of the world. If you’ve ever looked back at a period of history and thought, “I’m glad I didn’t live then”, forget it. Living back “then”, whenever that was, would be much better than what you’re about to go through.

I’m not going to white wash this, because there’s no time to soft sell this. Even assuming you find this blog seconds after the Rapture, there’s almost no time to waste preparing. You missed the Rapture, and the odds of survival are very low.

The most important thing you must do RIGHT NOW is be saved. It’s pretty much the only way to safeguard yourself against some of the worst judgments that will befall the earth.

Understand this…

30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: 31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. Acts 17:30-31 (KJV)

This time is coming, VERY SOON. If you do not get saved in the next seven years, it will be TOO LATE! I cannot emphasize this enough.

What do I do?

You read it above. Repent. That’s the first thing.

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23 (KJV)

You are a sinner. You have to accept that first and foremost. Your sins have separated yourself from God eternally, and you cannot of your own power bridge that gap between you and a Holy God.

“That offends me! I think I’m not so bad a person!!!”

10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. 13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: 14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: 15 Their feet are swift to shed blood: 16 Destruction and misery are in their ways: 17 And the way of peace have they not known: 18 There is no fear of God before their eyes. Romans 3:10-18 (KJV)

“That’s not true – I’m a pretty good person at heart!”

You think that. Read the ten commandments, in Exodus 20. How many of those have you broken, honestly? Even merely lying once can condemn you to hell for all eternity.

8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Revelation 21:8 (KJV)

Nobody is righteous. The whole world stands condemned before God.

23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23 (KJV)

You cannot work your way to heaven. Every other religion on earth (and many so-called Christian denominations!) teach you can earn your way to heaven. But the Bible says otherwise.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV)

However, God did prepare a way for you. It is impossible that man can save himself. But God prepared a way, by sending the middle person of the Trinity, the Lord Jesus Christ, to earth to live amongst us, and die for us, taking our penalty upon Him.

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 (KJV)

Salvation is a free gift, as you’ve seen. You MUST be born again, you cannot enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John 3:3 (KJV)

There is no other way.

“What do I have to do?”

30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. 32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. Acts 16:30-32 (KJV)

You must pray to the Lord. I’m not going to give you a “1,2,3 repeat after me” prayer – that turns this into an incantation that “saves” you. Rather, it should be a prayer from your heart. You should repent of your sins, ask forgiveness for them, ask the Lord for mercy. Ask the Lord to save your soul from hell. Give your life to the Lord, and understand before you do this, that Christianity is not a spectator sport. If you are truly saved, understand you are not your own, and bought with a price.
