Benefits of Loving One Another

Loving One Another. A previous post on this topic was some of the hardest words I’ve put on this blog. If you got convicted, you were paying attention.
But why? The Lord commanded us, but there’s other reasons. Ready to see?

  • Your Church won’t be Dead. Just the fervent in spirit one. If every one of us in our Baptist church would just be fervent in spirit, just that one alone, the churches will seem alive, vibrant.
  • No more Cliques. If we prefer one another, just that one, and if we could maybe work on the condescend to those of lower estate, just those two, there’d be no more cliques. The problem with Cliques is that very often there aren’t any, just people who’ve known each other for a long time, and the rest of the people perceiving it as a clique.
  • Room for everyone in Ministry. “How can I help” would no longer be seen as interfering, but genuine concern.
  • Renewed commitment to the Great Commission. Your church would finally begin to grow with SAVED Christians, not pretend tares – because you’d reject the Great Omission and instead begin the Great Commission.
  • You’ll Hear ‘Well Done’. I want to hear those words. You want to hear them. If we keep going on the way we both are, neither one of us will. Instead, we’ll be as one with smoke clinging to us, ashamed.
  • People Will stop leaving the church. Everyone wants a church with no problems. That chance stopped the minute you joined! But a vibrant church who cares for one another and is engaged in outreach will seem exciting.
  • You might actually get mistaken for a Christian from time to time. Most of us bring more contempt to the Gospel than glory. This ought not to be. Let’s start acting like Jesus Christ, and how He wants us to act. There’s no WWJD speculation – just open your Bible to exhortations like I listed yesterday, and use them as a checklist.
Conclusion

There are so many benefits to loving one another, it’s time we got on with it instead of making excuses. Are you Christian or aren’t you? It’s time to start acting like it!
