I’m really sorry. For years, I’ve been able to pretty much get in 5-7 posts a week.
Lately I’ve been hugely pressured by work and other commitments.
I actually sat down and wrote out a schedule of September’s posts to write – but life got in the way, and only about a third of them got written..
The bad news is, October looks just as busy for me. So, I may have to repost a series just to get caught up, and then we’ll be back in business!

Are you from Egypt?

Here’s a fun little fact!
Someone from Egypt visits my blog every now and then.
This is about to be an exciting time for you.
Because Egypt is shortly going to be going nuts for the Lord Jesus Christ.

You’re going to start seeing Egyptians switching from calling the country Egypt, to Mitzraim.

“Whom the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, And Assyria the work of my hands, And Israel mine inheritance.” (Isaiah 19:25, KJV)

You’re going to see your own countrymen getting saved, turning to Jesus Christ. And it’s going to be drastic. Because they’re going to start speaking Hebrew.
Egyptians will begin praying to the God of the Bible, using the phrase Adonai Tse’vaot, the Lord of Hosts.

“In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt Speak the language of Canaan, And swear to the Lord of hosts; One shall be called, The city of destruction. In that day shall there be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, And a pillar at the border thereof to the Lord. And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt: For they shall cry unto the Lord because of the oppressors, And he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them. And the Lord shall be known to Egypt, And the Egyptians shall know the Lord in that day, And shall do sacrifice and oblation; Yea, they shall vow a vow unto the Lord, and perform it.” (Isaiah 19:18–21, KJV)

This is important.
Because this saves your country from a huge mistake.
A large number of countries are about to band together with Russia to attack Israel. And Egypt will have no part of it.
When this starts to happen, and you know someone who’s going to go leave and join that army, dissuade them strenuously. Because seriously – that army is going to be wiped out painfully, agonizingly, by the Lord God.
It’s going to be a visible sign.
This is prophesied in the Bible. Don’t resist it. God is calling you!
The God of the Bible, not some other false god, not some minor moon god. But the God of the Bible, who brought the ten plagues on Egypt.
That God. He’s about to be on your side. You just have to turn to him, accept Him.
Because He came to earth 2,000 years ago, and paid the penalty for your sins – so that you and all other Egyptians could dwell in Heaven forevermore, with Him!
God calls Egyptians “my People”. It’s not just the Jews!
Did you know that some Jews today are the descendants of Egyptians who left with the Israelites after the 10 plagues? They converted to Judaism and left with the Israelites.
So when you hear other Egyptians cursing Israel, remind them of that.

“And the Egyptians were urgent upon the people, that they might send them out of the land in haste; for they said, We be all dead men. And the people took their dough before it was leavened, their kneadingtroughs being bound up in their clothes upon their shoulders. And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: And the Lord gave the people favour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians. And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children. And a mixed multitude went up also with them; and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle.” (Exodus 12:33–38, KJV)

Those Egyptians who went with them believed that God was with Israel. So they joined them.
The same God is calling you today.
Don’t wait. Accept Him today.
And let Biblical Prophecy concerning Egypt start with you personally.

Straight Talk about The Rapture

Lately, people are really beginning to worry a lot about the Rapture.
I’ll put it a couple of different ways.
Weird things are happening.
Wars are increasing.
Water disappearing from rivers and oceans. NO, IT IS NOT NORMAL IN A HURRICANE FOR THE OCEAN TO DISAPPEAR! ANY METEOROLOGIST WHO TELLS YOU THIS IS LYING! Oceans RISE in hurricanes! Ask anyone from New Orleans or Houston.
North Korea seems to have leaders who have gone mad, and are threatening much more technologically advanced and stronger countries, with much better trained armies. And they’re threatening nuclear attacks.
Russia has come back suddenly.

The last one is the key. Gog is either synonymous with the Rapture, or just barely precedes it. I tend to believe the latter. John Walvoord believed the former.
And lets’ deal with something right off the bat. American Demoncrats are making a big stink about a mythical exchange between Donald Trump and Russia – when in fact, it apparently was a routine and common occurrence for Demoncrat politicians to contact Putin for marching orders under the Obama regime. Transference of blame has been a key Demoncrat tactic since Clinton’s presidency.

Russia is the key. Keep your eye on Russia. This is the difficult part, because at some point America and Great Britain, very influential and powerful countries, lose all their influence either just before or just after the Rapture. Read between the lines, stockpile and prepare.
If before the Rapture, you’ll be prepared. If after the Rapture, then you stockpiled for someone else. It won’t go to waste, I’m sure!

Russia is literally the key. They join up with all the small countries north of Israel in an effort to invade Israel – and literally are wiped out by God.
The rise in power of Russia seemed impossible a few years ago. When it began to rise up again, I was dumbfounded. I was watching Biblical Prophecy right before my eyes!

Russia is going to join up with all the Stan countries (Turkistan, Uzbekistan, etc), and possibly Libya and Germany – to attack and invade Israel in a three pronged attack. I think this will happen just before the Rapture. And God Himself wipes them out.
Who’s Missing?
Right around this time, Egypt will begin to slowly move into… ummm… 1st Century Christianity. No kidding. Right down to speaking Hebrew. Right down to erecting a pillar at the Egyptian border declaring the land begins to the Lord God. If you’ve been reading along with my Bible reading plan, then you literally read this between Sept 18 and Rosh Hashanah.

The exact timing of when this happens, I don’t know. Before the Rapture? I think so. Because literally they refuse to take place in Gog and Magog. If Russia were to make the offer to Egypt today to attack Israel, they would, in a heartbeat. So, this has to change too at some point.

The combination of Gog/Magog, Egypt getting strange (by the world’s definition) and the events of the Rapture totally disrupt the political scene as we know it. The Rapture will be massive in its consequences (although I really worry about Jerry Jenkin’s interpretation of it – literally, he had a Nascar event disrupted by most of the audience vanishing as they were driving home from the event. I’m not… a NASCAR fan by any means. The cars go round and round to the left. Big deal.)

The Antichrist will probably rise in power almost immediately. He’s probably in office right now (or perhaps, just lost the Presidency…).
Here’s your other warning signs…

  • Most of Christianity is um… completely confused, and abandoning every cardinal doctrine in Christianity
  • The Protestant Reformer’s creed, or whatever they’re calling the latest article, is a complete waste of time, did nothing except again to confuse Baptists into thinking they’re Protestants.
  • Many “Christians” according to the polls, deny the Trinity, the deity of Christ, and salvation by grace through faith. Hint – you’re not Christian if you deny these things!
  • Many who call themselves Christians are obsessed with following teachers who pretend to signs and wonders.
  • Baptists are beginning to abandon the Gospel and adopt an “us four and no more” church mentality.
  • Christians are beginning to look more and more indistinguishable from the world.
  • Philip Dean bought Logos (truly, an event of Biblical proportions!)

We’re so close to the Rapture now. So close. I had an aberrant moment a couple of months ago where I was resigning myself to eventually going to my grave and knowing I would go first in the Rapture. Recent events again have made me aware that the Rapture is immediate. I think there’s still a few events to take place left, but they can happen so rapidly that… it may be this year! It may happen by the spring. By the summer. By Next Rosh Hashanah.
It may happen fifteen minutes from now.

3 Reasons to Journal

Recently, I wrote about Journaling.a post that of course got zero likes. It sounds somehow odd. “Why should you journal? That sounds so… un-Baptist!”

Well, as I mentioned yesterday, I’ve been working on getting my blog posts from 2012 in Scrivener, my latest blogging tool (you could also use Evernote). It’s great to be able to see where you were spiritually back then, and compare it to now. Good way to see if you’ve gotten off course, or possibly even more on track! Hopefully, option 2.
So, let’s look at 3 reasons to Journal, and 3 ways to do it!

  • You can see how off track you were, or how off track you’re getting spiritually. I know, I just said that above!
  • It can help you make decisions. I wish I’d gone back through my pastoring journal years ago – I’d written things about my old church in there, concerns about certain things right from the start that unfortunately, it turns out I was completely right about. If I’d reviewed it earlier, I might have left there long before my decision to finally withdraw.
  • It can help you to see where you need to go spiritually! By comparing where you were spiritually, what the Bible says, and then where you are NOW spiritually, it can help you get back on track, or can show you the direction you need to proceed! If your journal says “I need to read my Bible more” and “Skipped Bible reading today AGAIN” – now hey, that’s a hint!

So, how are some ways to Journal?

  • Microsoft Journal. They’ve abandoned support for this program (hint for OneNote users – the only program Microsoft has shown long term support for is Microsoft Office – go to Evernote NOW before they get bored with OneNote in a couple of years and yank that one too! I mean… remember LiveWriter? Frontpage? Frontpage Express? Outlook Express?), but you can still download this and use it. ALWAYS KEEP BACKUPS OF PROGRAMS YOU DOWNLOAD!!!! Anyway, this one is kind of set up like OneNote, except it’s suited more for journaling.
  • E-Sword. Yup! This bear of a program still has one of the best Christian Journaling functions ever!
  • Evernote. Evernote doesn’t seem to have a journaling function, but here’s how to do it… create a notebook called Journal, or 2017. Then just create notes in it titled with the date! Tag it Journal, and WRITE!
  • Bonus round – Quickverse 2010! I used to do my journaling in Wordsearch, but the truly ugly interface made me, well, completely uninterested in journaling in it. Moving to Quickverse (an older program) actually works better for me – if I can remember to stop, slow down, and – actually journal! Create a user book (by date format), call it 2017, and then add a note every day, and write!
  • Super Bonus Round – The Pastor’s Study. This program even has a function to allow you to journal. I’ve actually taken the journaling from all my other failed attempts and stored them all into the Pastor’s Study, then every month since then I go and store the latest ones. The way it’s laid out, you can see all your journal entries. It’s password encoded, which is annoying to me, but there’s a way to bypass that and make it remember the password – I just need to stop procrastinating and DO IT!

To me, journaling is an essential function for fundamentalists! Get into the habit of it, and try to review periodically. You’ll see that all those promises you make yourself that you forget about prayer, fasting and Bible reading will finally get done!

I first started writing this blog back in 2012. Back then, I had one of those Hewlett Packard Mini 210’s. Cute little laptop, completely underpowered, etc. Had Win XP, and it was great.

I had Microsoft Office XP loaded on, and it had Microsoft Frontpage, which I knew pretty well. Back in those days, if you wanted to have a website, you’d have to search for someone that was a). Free and b)could install Frontpage extensions upon request.

Armed with E-Sword and Microsoft Frontpage, I wrote my blog for a year, praying earnestly about “should I take this live, or keep it on my laptop?”
Obviously, I decided (after talking with my wife about it) to take it live.
It’s so interesting to see my earliest rants. A few of you have read them, by going (I guess) on Philip Dean binges, and deciding to go back to my earliest posts, picking one, and reading it. After that, I’m sure you yawned, and moved on to other things.

Cut to today, my Dell whatever this thing is, with Logos and a ton of other programs I use. I went originally with Thingamablog, but the author’s lack of support for the program and no updates since 2006 or so…. I needed something with more features, so I got Scrivener which has spellcheck since apparently my fingers constantly fumble as I type! And sometimes I’m in such a hurry to get my words into the computer that sometimes I leave words out of phrases, leaving them completely incomprehensible!

So I’m copying and pasting everything from Thingamablog into Scrivener. Spellchecking, making a couple of updates to them.

And having a great time, reading my old thoughts from back then!

I’m right now up to June, 2012. Check back in a few weeks on the earliest ones – I may have the corrected ones up online soon.

I’ve been REALLY busy lately, and haven’t had much time to blog.
My Surviving the Tribulation website is powered by Joomla, and recently I’ve found that it’s got a security breach that allows people to get user accounts, which they can actually spam from! I spend two hours one day deleting users, came back a month later, and found that all 1600 of them were back!

So, right now, I’m working to get everything moved over to a WordPress format I can work with (this is actually one of those times I miss Frontpage!) and get it up online, and pull down the Joomla site.

I’ll get blog entries up online soon. Please bear with me!

Pure Cambridge Edition

Going back through entries from 5 years ago, I can see that I was using the Pure Cambridge Edition exclusively. It was made possible by the fact originally I was using E-Sword.

Now, of course, I’m using Logos. Oddly enough, although Logos doesn’t boast about it, they’re using the PCE King James as well.

It’s funny, but at this point, I’m siding with David Cloud that, yes, it really doesn’t matter if you’re using the regular Cambridge edition or the Pure Cambridge edition. Indeed, some old-time KJV purists have actually found one spot where the PCE is actually in error (a lower case s instead of an upper case in Holy spirit. It should be Holy Spirit). It’s been so long since I looked at that, I really can’t remember where. The King James has I believe only seven instances of Holy Spirit instead of Holy Ghost.

Shouldn’t be hard to find and compare.

Cloud’s attitude is, “it’s typos and capital letters.”
The important part is that you’re reading the King James. If you really want to get picky about it, make sure it’s a Cambridge Edition.
