Love One Another

“For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.” (1 John 3:11, KJV)

οτι αυτη εστιν η αγγελια ην ηκουσατε απ αρχης ινα αγαπωμεν αλληλους.

ινα αγαπωμεν αλληλους. Ina Agapomen allelous. Love one another.

What would this phrase have meant to a 1st century Jew?

The same thing it means to you. Agapomen, should love, is a verb. You show it.

Care. Help one another. Let someone rant in private to you, and get the frustration out. Say hi to the visitor, and say you’re glad they visited. Ask how someone is, and REALLY care about the answer.

Stick your smart phone in your pocket, and ignore the text or the Facebook post someone just replied to, and give someone your attention.

Don’t delay. Do it. They used to say you could identify Christians by the love they had for each other. If that’s true… we’re in trouble.

Apostasy reigns around us, churches are sliding into worldiness, a whitewashed Gospel is preached everywhere... "Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. Jeremiah 6:16 (KJV) So, I'm speaking out. ...Why aren't you???
