You know, when studying theology, the easiest part is God the Father. That’s… God.
Where is God?
Everywhere. He is Omnipresent.
Can God do everything? He is Omnipotent, meaning all-powerful.
Does God know what you’re thinking? God is Omniscient, meaning He knows everything. It’s easy.
Does God have limitations?
God has SELF-IMPOSED limitations. God could literally force everyone on Earth to bow and recognize His existence, and proclaim His sovereignty.
And He will, at the Great White Throne. Even Satan will be forced to bow before Him.
But God WANTS you to acknowledge Him. God WANTS you to accept His free gift of forgiveness and salvation.
God will not go against His word. He will not do the opposite of what His Bible says. These are SELF-IMPOSED limitations we cannot understand. I mean, I’d be making everyone bow before me, and any idiot who wrote a book calling belief in God a delusion, I’d simply wipe them out.
But see, God is Omniscient. He understands everything. And His understanding is so great, that since He is pure Holiness, He declares how He wants things. And He will not go against that.
And to break that down any further is really risking me getting it wrong, and saying something stupid.
