Understand first of all, theological liberal teachers like to use the word “progressive”. Sure, fine. Understand what you’re saying, because for decades, the Soviet Union liked to use that word as a synonym for “communist” and “atheist”. So, sure, call yourself progressive!!!
When you hear a teacher in a Seminary, Bible University, Theological University or Bible College say things like, “The Bible does have errors in it” or “The interpretation of the Bible belongs to the reader…”
Here’s your first question.
“So, if you don’t believe in the Bible, why do you work here?”
“Don’t you think it shows a lack of integrity to take a salary to teach a Bible you don’t believe in?”
“If you don’t believe in the Bible, why should I learn from you? The Bible says that ‘….the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God for they are foolishness to him’? So, since you cannot know things that are spiritually discerned… why are you teaching me?”
“So, when you’re saying Moses didn’t write Deuteronomy, aren’t you calling the Lord Jesus Christ a liar??? Isn’t that a dangerous situation to be in?”
“So let me get this straight – do you believe that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh, eternally existing as one third of the Trinity and co-Equal with God the Father?”
“Does the President of the (seminary, university, college) know you’re teaching this?”
“Since most of the textual critics were unbelievers and right now are suffering in eternal torments, why should we listen to or believe anything they have to say?”
“So, let me clarify – what you’re saying is that the Bible is wrong. Since God wrote the Bible, aren’t you in effect saying that you’re smarter than God???”
“Doesn’t it worry you that millions of Bible Believing Christians have read the Bible and considered that passage to be correct and inspired of God, but you obviously don’t?”
“Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!” (Matthew 18:7, KJV)
“Why should I be listening to you, when it’s obvious you’re not saved? Shouldn’t I be witnessing to you instead?”
Print this list out, and keep it in your binder at college. Print out more than one copy, because I guarantee that the instructor will resort to Petit Larceny, a 1st class misdemeanor, and will steal it from you under the guise of “confiscating” it. Call the police and file a report. Or, if it’s a state where you can go to the magistrate yourself, do so.
We need to clean out Bible colleges of these wolves.
