What makes a Christian defenseless?
No spiritual insight. No spiritual discernment.
The implication, by calling something Christian, is to tell a Christian, “this is safe and good for you.”
yeah, uh… no.
One of the biggest selling Christian authors denies the Trinity.
Another one claims that you are god, but he doesn’t come out and say it. His wife is on record as saying that Jesus Christ was not God before His baptism, but became God.
Don’t be shocked, because of the top selling Christian authors, most of them teach the same thing.
I don’t see that in my Bible.
Many women like to read from a woman Preacher who writes books, and teaches, “Jesus was the first born again Man.”
That’s heresy. And only a few people are preaching against her.
But what’s the single biggest tool for making Christians defenseless?
The Daily Bread.
You get one verse. A lot of talk from someone else, which most of the time is nowhere close to a valid interpretation of the verse – and then sometimes another verse, and a sample prayer.
Someone did all the thinking for you. All the work.
It may have been great years ago. now it really scares me, as it’s filled with non-judgmentalism, unity, ecumenical “let’s love one another regardless if we’re Christian or not.”
It’s bad news.
The Baptist Bread is even worse. Often, it’s filled with bad preaching. Really bad. I remember getting it, and reading it, and thinking, “Well… that was terrible and made no sense.”
Throw your Daily Bread away. Throw the Baptist bread away. Read your Bibles. Get into a daily Bible program. As of the time I’m writing this, I’ve been reading 14-15 chapters a day.
Get into Bible study.
And before you read any Christian author, know their doctrinal positions. Many books that Christians advocate are completely unchristian. If the author’s name is “Saint…” anything, don’t read it.
If they do not believe in the Trinity, do not read them.
If they teach that man if god, don’t read them.
If they teach Jesus was only a man before he was baptized, then they’e teaching he’s still a man. Don’t read them.
be careful. Be wise.
