I’m summing this up from a sermon I was listening to today.
- You no longer have concern for the fate of souls
- You are no longer interested in Bible study, and it’s lack no longer grieves you
- Being in sin no longer bothers you
- missing church seems like no big deal.
There was a fifth, but I don’t remember it right now.
I bring this up because December featured almost an entire month on Bible study. As soon as I stopped talking about it, my stats increased.
And only a couple of people watched the David Cloud videos on studying your Bible.
Few of you seemed worried when I wrote about the state of Christianity today. At least, nobody really said anything!
So let me phrase this another way.
Read your Bible when you feel like it. And when you don’t, read it until you do.
Pray when you feel like it, and when you don’t, pray until you do.
Go to church when you feel like it. And when you don’t, that’s the moment you MOST need to go to church!
If sin doesn’t bother you, that should bother you., So, read your Bible, pray, and go to church until it DOES bother you!
