13 And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth. Exodus 23:13 (KJV)

24 Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images. Exodus 23:24 (KJV)

14 Ye shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the people which are round about you; Deuteronomy 6:14 (KJV)

16 Take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them; Deuteronomy 11:16 (KJV)

Today, let’s discuss zero tolerance. Those words have been cheapened by constant use, by people whose very application of those words usually means they tolerate a lot.
As you’re probably used to from me, let’s start by putting things in perspective. There’s one God. That God is one God revealed in three persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Worship of anything or anyone else is forbidden. The fact that the Lord Jesus Christ not only allowed worship but encouraged it, was a huge clue to who He was when walking this earth.

Deuteronomy 6:14 tells us not to add worship of other gods to the worship due to God alone. Yet modern Christians not only do this, but actively encourage it.
Universalism is rampant today. That’s the belief that all people go to heaven. But John 14:6 says it plainly – the only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ.

Yes, I know – we want to love all people! And the thought that so many sincere peoples of every faith who reject Christ are going to Hell is painful. So, while some go out and pass out tracts, witness, set up wordpress blogs etc… the rest of Christianity sits around and tries to make excuses. “Well, we believe that ***** is just the name for God in their language.” No, it’s not.

“Well, they worship Isa, and that’s their name for Jesus!” Um… that’s been debated many times – and no, they do not worship Isa. Or Jesus. The Bible says there is salvation in no other name, there is no other way to God than through Jesus Christ. Ye must be born again. Unless a man is born again, he cannot enter into the kingdom of heaven.
“Buddists live by the Golden Rule…” Bully for them. Have they been born again? Have they accepted Jesus Christ? Then they need to abandon false religions like Buddhism. THe Buddha himself abandoned Hinduism, but basically created an atheistic version of it – and billions of followers are blindly accepting the words of a single Indian prince who abandoned his wife and son and left them behind – surely not a very “good karma” producing action.

Billions take the Buddha’s word for it that there is an endless cycle of life, death, reincarnation. What proof do you have? “Uhhhh…” Buddha died. Did he rise again to tell us, “Hey, I was there, I saw for myself! I was right! Yay, me!!!”
Nope. So, abandon any part of Buddhism. It’s pagan. The people of God Almighty should not be doing it.

You should not be sitting cross legged, meditating. It’s a waste of time. Trust me, I learned how to meditate! Depending on the discipline, you either stare at an object for a while, or you close your eyes and focus on the inside of your eyelids. Some discplines advocate the chanting of a Mantra, to “aid in focus”. They say any phrase will do, but then they tell you that saying “Krishna” is the strongest syllables for aid in meditation. You enter a state of self hypnosis. Kind of like opening your front door and leaving the house – anyone can walk in.

Buddhism leads to idolatry. Because sooner or later, you get dissatisfied with just sitting there, and soon you want to get the most out of it. So you find a guru, a mentor, or start reading books by the Dalai Lama – and you start seeing the encouragement to buy Buddha idols, as an “aid to meditation, something to focus your attention on.” If it’s that, then why do they discuss the powers and abilities of the different colored buddhas?

30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou enquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. Deuteronomy 12:30 (KJV)

“well, I’m a good Christian! I don’t meditate!”
Good! Do you do contemplative mysticism?
“That’s different…”
How? Aren’t you sitting still, focusing on a spot? Aren’t you chanting a mantra? It’s kind of blasphemous to engage in the practices of other religions while chanting, “Lord Jesus have mercy on me, a sinner…”.

Seriously! Think about it! And… stop it!!!

It’s getting to a point where Christians are eager to research on other pagan religions, to see what they can add to their religions!

“some religions dance in circles! We should do that too to the glory of God!!!”

18 That they teach you not to do after all their abominations, which they have done unto their gods; so should ye sin against the LORD your God. Deuteronomy 20:18 (KJV)

“some religions that pass themsevles off as Christianity burn incense to their idols! We should too!”

10 And they set them up images and groves in every high hill, and under every green tree: 11 And there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the heathen whom the LORD carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke the LORD to anger: 12 For they served idols, whereof the LORD had said unto them, Ye shall not do this thing. 2 Kings 17:10-12 (KJV)

Some religions blah blah blah…
It doesn’t matter what the other religions do! Do what the Lord God commanded you to do, and no more! We are in the age of Grace, where we are not required to offer sacrifices or incense… all God wants from you is prayer, from time to time, to spend time in your Bible, to attend church, to share the Gospel. It’s not much!
But instead of that, you can find time to study Chakras, auras, kundalini, meditation, buddhism, sikhism, and a million other “isms”?

12 And now, Israel, what doth the LORD thy God require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, Deuteronomy 10:12 (KJV)

Apostasy reigns around us, churches are sliding into worldiness, a whitewashed Gospel is preached everywhere... "Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. Jeremiah 6:16 (KJV) So, I'm speaking out. ...Why aren't you???
