The Year in Review, and the upcoming year

Okay, it’s been a busy year. I’ve written a lot, including answering atheism, evolution, Word Faith, and Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Mind you, these were not detailed, in depth answerings. I’m busy with a myriad of other things. And to answer these topics (very needful) also meant putting some things off. My indignation button was leaned on quite heavily this year, but I didn’t want to interrupt what I was doing to comment at length on any of the issues.

We’ll just say a defense of the Bible is high in order in 2014. I’m going to defend it, prove it’s authenticity and inspiration, and I’m also going to ask some very pointed questions of its critics.

The one thing that caught me a lot of protests this year was when I began analyzing motivations behind why a person took a certain viewpoint. So, there’ll be some of that as well this year!

Another high priority is – although I’m staying out of politics, because (although I have strong beliefs) I think there’s been far too much confusion between Christianity and certain politicla parties. This was evidenced when a Mormon ran for president, and a large number of evangelicals fell all over themsevles in their haste to “Beg forgiveness for the ‘sin’ of Mormon-phobia”. Friends, its a false religion and a cult. And the horror of it set in when Franklin Graham (a man I used to respect) had all references to Mormonism being a cult removed from the BGEA website.

So, mormonism will be dealt with pretty thoroughly. Expect that one around February or so.

Calvinism is a big one, as it is treatening to swallow up the Southern Baptist Convention. And instead of doing the biblical thing and asking Calvinists to correct their errant doctrine, the SBC is instead attempting to find room on the chair for both beliefs to sit. What the SBC is unaware of, or ignoring it every time someone explains it, is that the Calvinists intend on stealing the chair. And then they will not hesitate to order us to change our beliefs – or be forced out of the convention. The very thing we’re refusing to do to them, they will do to us. Trust me. Because I predict that nobody will listen to me, and over the next 18 months you’ll see the SBC forced into Calvinism, and the rest of us will be forced out.

Church of Christ – they’re in the minority, but I have some plans to deal with them this coming year if time permits.

I need to finish the correct doctrine series, so I’ll be running that concurrent with other series’. Remember, the categories’ links on the right will help you to read everything I’ve written on a particular subject.

One of the big ways people get suckered into cults like Torah Observant Messianic Judaism, is a lack of understanding on how to use a Strong’s Concordance. Well, here’s the secret. You’ve got to learn some Greek and Hebrew to really grasp it. So I most definitely need to put up lessons in Biblical Greek and Hebrew. I need to really deal with T.O.M., as it ensnares quite a few people. And the fruit of it is usually the denial of Christ, which shows that if it is not Satanic, Satan has most definitely over-run it with wolves in sheep’s clothing.

I plan to finish up Buddhism, and deal with Hinduism. The rampant Hinduism in the US faltered once the Beatles broke up, so it’s not a priority – and I don’t think a reuniting of the Beatles is now a possibility!

Theres a lot coming in 2014, and I’m rushing to get it all done as fast as possible, because I believe the Rapture is imminent, and I have a lot to do. I also need to finish a lot of unfinished work on the Surviving the Tribulation website, as that will help people stay alive long after I’ve disappeared from this earth.

Stay tuned! Your support is critical. Just hitting a like button from time to time helps me to know my work is not in vain!

Quick Explanation of the Bible

Sorry, lately my indignation button has been pressed.

The Bible is the word of God.

If I tell you that 140 years ago, men conspired and acted covertly to deliberalty gut the Scriptures of any verse that they didn’t agree with, it should concern you.

If I tell you they deliberatly changed the verses they didn’t remove but still didn’t like – it shoud greatly concern you.

We reject the New World Translation for doing exactly that. But then we smugly open our NIV’s or ESV’s, and start our devotionals, and feel sudden nagging doubts about the deity of Christ. Or we feel no urge to fast, because the Bible doesn’t emphasize it.

Uh, the New World Translation was translated from the same Greek manuscripts that the ESV comes from.

Doesn’t that concern you?

“well, no, the NWT is deliberately mistranslated to support their doctrinal views.”

Sure. And the Wescott-hort, Nestle-Aland, and United Bible Society Greek texts all did the same thing, just in Greek. Doesn’t that concern you?

The Bible is God’s word. Any attempt to change that should arouse our immediate anger. You touch my Bible, them’s fightin’ words.

And I see dozens of videos, articles and books by people who’ve NEVER researched the issue defending their Bibles. That’s great! But investigate this issue FIRST! You may suddenly conclude you’re on the wrong side.

I know, I did! I loved the NIV. I had just got an expensive NASB bible when I became aware of this controversy. I began investigating it, to disprove it – and was convinced in a matter of minutes. The more I look into it, the more convinced I become.

I have a perfect Bible. I have an english version of God’s word. I can hold it in my hand and say, “This is God’s word.”

And then I see links to articles and videos saying, “the myth of the perfect Bible debunked.” And the same arguments, baseless and long since disproved by D. A. Waite, David Cloud, Edward Hills and many others, are repeated.

The reality is, they’re not investigating the issue. And I notice NONE of these New Bible advocates EVER address the issues of WEscott & Hort’s redactionism. So, the bible publishers moved to using a near-duplicate (almost letter for letter identical), the Nestle-aland, whose authors admittedly simply were duplicating Wescott & Hort’s work. With the same motive. They avoided the controversy of W/H, but kept the same result.

None of the New Bible advocates ever address that issue, either. Geisler trys to prove that we can trust translations done from a Greek Text deliberatly done in secret by men who were being paid to translate from the established Greek Texts, but instead covertly and without authorization turned to two other manuscrpts, and attempted first to harmonize their wildly contradictory readings. Why? THey were opposed to the plain sense of the Greek Text of the Bible. They never adress that.

They never address the fact that W&H called the Greek Text of the complete Bible “Villainous.” They never address the fact that Tischendorf, when searcihng for ancient Bible manuscripts, was searching for ANY texts that differed from the Textus Receptus. He was looking for ANY text that was different.

Why? HE WAS OPPOSED TO GOD’S WORD!

It’s almost amazing to watch Ankerberg, a staunch opponent of King James Only’ism, routinely side with anyone who opposes Fundamentalism on his TV show.

STOP. THINK.

Fundamentalism means “I believe the bible literally.”

Why would you oppose that?

If you are saved, the Bible is your rulebook. Your marching orders. There’s no ROOM for you to say, “Well, I don’t like that.” I have to start asking uncomfortable questions about people when they oppose the word of God!

The obvious conclusions is that you’re backslidden, there’s sin issues in your life, or you’re not saved. Which is it? first two are fixed by getting back to God’s word. The last one is fixed by getting saved. Just don’t try to fix #3 with the solutions for 1 or 2.

And that’s what this boils down to. I see opposition of the Bible as being a sin issue. so many pastors have said, “The Bible will keep you from sin, or sin will keep you from the Bible.” So if you’re opposed to the Bible, it means it’s convicting you – and so you try to avoid it.

Most people read the NIV because it’s easy. Sure! And it’s misleading. NASB and ESV as well. It takes a little while to understand the King James Bible. But you CAN understand it. And once you understand WHY its written the way it is, you’ll appreciate it for what it is.

Bottom line – the Bible is your marching orders. God says, you do. “Yes, sir!” Like the army. You got your orders.

Pray? yup.

Fast? from time to time, when you understand WHY. Gotta know what a tool does in order to use it right.

Jesus is God? Yup.

Get back to the Bible. The real one.

What’s Wrong With Baptists???

There’s times I just absolutly want to shake people.

Hi, fellow Baptists, it’s like this:

You’re surrounded.

You know, when Genghis Khan and his troops circled a village, they would draw that circle tighter until they had everyone hemmed in. And then the killing started.

I can only describe what’s happening as a war on all fronts.

Secular Humanism is part of a deliberate campaign to outlaw Christianity in the US. they are trying to take away one constitutionally guaranteed freedom at a time. What’s been our response?

We bought chicken sandwiches.

Where’s the letter to the editor? Where’s the emails to TV network executives, asking for accountability in their onslaught and clever campaigns against Christianity? Where’s the letters to your delegate, representative, congressman or senator? Form letter mail to a certain extent doesn’t work. You get a big pile of letters all with different signatures. politicians feel a little pressure.

But if they get the same number of upset letters from constituents decrying our loss of freedoms, all worded differently, the pressure ramps up suddenly. “People are upset! If I want to keep my job, I better do something!”

I had a politician come to my door, asking what my concerns were. I told him my constitutional rights. He then asked which ones? I asked why I was having to pick and choose which ones I was going to get to keep?

I didn’t vote for him. That question revealed a willingness to turn his back upon the US constitution, the one he’s supposed to serve and protect.

That’s the media and the politicians – Next foe.

There’s a move to subvert Baptist conventions. By whom? Everyone, it seems. I guess my oft-voiced objection is too radical. I call it the blog argument. If you don’t like what I say on my blog, don’t read it. Go get your own and write what you want. Or find one that does say what you like. There’s MILLIONS of them.

Okay, so you’re offended that Baptists believe the Bible. Oh well. Go get your own convention. Don’t try to subvert mine.

Okay, so you’re emergent, and you want to believe that errant nonsense. Fine. Get your own convention. Don’t try to sneak in and subvert mine. Begone. Take a tract with you, because you’re not saved, and it’s not going to go well with you at Judgment Day.

Okay, so you’re theologically liberal, and don’t believe the Bible literally. You want to teach some kind of nonsense about figurative speech, etc. Great. Go start your own convention. Call it ALBA (Americal Lost Baptists Association), or whatever you want. Don’t you try to subvert my convention.

So you’re in love with Willow Creek. Fine. I’m sure Bill Hybels would be flattered if you asked him to start a convention. Go do that. Don’t try to hijack my church, and introduce dramas. My church is about worshipping God, getting souls saved, and preaching the word of God. Nobody’s dressing like Humpty Dumpty. No Harlem Shake at my church, please.

So you’re a Calvinist. Great. Go get your own convention. Mine believes the Bible.

We’ve got foes inside the convention and outside the convention.

Sometimes I think all those Zombie movies are about Baptists. We just sleepwalk our way through life.

Wanna know why there’s no revival in our churches? Reread the article. We allowed this to happen. Every time in the Bible that the congregation of Israel stopped and asked, “Why are we allowing worship at the High places, and BA’al in our midst?” and purged all of that, revival broke out.

Solution? Teaching correct, biblical doctrine. Toss out all those Sunday School materials you haven’t read – because I’m telling you, I read some stuff in the “Navigating the Bible” series that concerned me deeply.

When the Southern Baptist Convention issued its statement on salvation, the angry outbursts from the Calvinists should have prompted a response of, “Sorry, that’s the clear and obvious teachings of the Bible. You’re more than welcome to start your own convention where you can advocate your Roman Catholic-lite theology.”

The issue was, We stated the clear position of the Bible: Whosoever will. Anyone protesting that angrily is angrily protesting the Bible. And one of the seminary presidents is an outspoken Calvinist, and many seem to regard him as the voice of the Southern Baptists! Well, no – he’s the voice of the New Calvinists.

If you’re emergent, theologically liberal, deny or question the Bible, sovereign grace or what have you, that’s not Baptist. nobody’s forcing you to stay.

However, once you start agendas of trying to subvert the convention, it’s time for you to move on.

Baptists, wake up.

Atheism & Evolution Answered 29 – Conclusion

So far, we’ve examined:

  • There is an absolute moral standard in the universe.
  • There is something greater than myself
  • That something set up those absolute moral standards.
  • That Something greater who has set up moral standards will someday judge me according to those standards.
  • If the Universe exists, it either has always been there, or it has been created.
  • If it was created, it had a creation.
  • If it had a creation, it had a creator.
  • If I see something moving, I recognize that a force or energy was applied to that something to make it move.
  • A+B=C. If C = 0 and A =0 then B = 0. If A =0 and B=0, then C cannot equal “Everything”
  • There’s no reason why we have universal laws.
  • If we did not have protons, would the laws of nature work? No. By that very concept, we identify that the kinds of materials the universe is made of are DESIGNED to cooperate with the very laws that were put in place.
  • It is nearly impossible to know A+B=c if you don’t know the value of A or B
  • The same scientist who popularized the Big Bang theorry also proposed the Oscillating State theory, which is contradictory
  • Red light spectrum shifts may be objects receding from us, gravity bending the light, or objects between us and the star. We cannot say for sure at this time.
  • There is not enough background radiation to account for the Big Bang
  • radio waves from space are probably just the sounds of comets, stars and planets
  • Triangulation to determine the distance of starts is not accurate past a certain point, as the error factor becomes too great
  • The laws of thermodynamics prevent the Big Bang or Evolution for that matter to be valid science
  • Gambler’s Ruin decrees that sooner or later the gambler loses – so the Big Bang and Evolution should have degenerated into chaos and death long before life arose.
  • Space is a vacuum. Prior to the creation of the universe, there was nothing to slow down particles once accelerated. After the Big Bang, all the subatomic particles should have just kept flinging on into space… forever.
  • There was nothing to cause the subatomic particles to form atoms and molecules. Still no satisfactory explanation from Science how this happened.
  • Gas is too nebulous and lacks sufficient weight and mass to start the attraction of elements to one another, and would not have compacted into ultra-dense objects to become stars.
  • We lack discovery of any active proto-stars or stage 1 stars, required for the theory of the birth of stars.
  • We lack any organizing external force to cause any of the elements to change into heavy metals such as Uranium neccessary to cause the star to explode from compacting.
  • If the first and second laws of Thermodynamics prevent all of this from “Just happening”, what external force caused it to happen?
  • Compacting gasses requires some external force.
  • Gas is composed of elements very low on the periodics table. It has VERY little weight, and almost no mass.
  • Science truly has no way to explain stars, solar systems and galaxies.
  • Science has conflicting theories about how planets formed, all of which lack evidence
  • We should be crowded with plutoids and planets if the Universe is as old as Evolutionists claim – and yet we’re not.
  • According to evolutionists, the earth had no air when the planet was first created, and the rocks absorbed it. (Huh?)
  • most so-called fossil evidence is actually plaster. Many exhibits are constructed from a few actual bones. One species of “primitive man” was constructed from a single tooth, which turned out to be… from a pig. Oops.
  • The Schoolbooks still present a long time between the creation of the Earth, and the origin of life – but Gould wrote that the evidence shows that life arose on Earth “as soon as it cooled enough to support it.”
  • A simple display of logic blows huge holes in the theory of Evolution – any living thing that spontaneously was created would have to have a way to take in nutrition, process that nutrition, excrete wastes, and duplicate itself. The odds against that rise so phenomenally high that it has to be discarded as impossible.
  • The Miller-Urey experiments were deliberately conducted in a way to produce favorable results – and still produced nothing more than amino acids that could not have supported life, and were insufficient in number to have sustained life.
  • Scientists are now convinced that all of the parameters used by Miller-Urey were incorrect.
  • If science is still going to champion Miller-Urey, they need to redo the experiment with the correct parameters.
  • I will buy and mail a King James Bible at my own expense to any scientist who reduplicates the Miller-Urey experiments with the correct parameters, for helping to disprove evolution.
  • The odds of a complete DNA-RNA strand and the correct m-RNA, Amoni Acids, s-RNA etc. arising by chance is 10 to the 600th power – far beyond the level mathematicians dismiss as impossible.
  • The odds of dropping 200 decks of cards and having them all land in order by suite are roughly comparible to the odds of DNA-RNA arising by chance.
  • The argument of “top of the food chain” is flawed.
  • There are many animals with more chromosomes than human beings, including shrimp and crayfish. At least we have more than a mouse.
  • the various methods of carbon dating an object make a number of assumptions, some of which have already been proven inaccurate, as far back as 1930
  • The various methods of carbon dating an object fail to take many variables into account that can skew the results greatly.
  • Science once advocated “Spontaneous generation”, invented to explain the appearance of mice in clothing left in a corner. Science has returned to that theory.
  • The major error of spontaneous generation is that you’d need two “happy monsters” appearing at roughly the same narrow window of time, and very close to one another geographically. The odds against this are now multiplied so drastically they fall far below the “Vanishing point” of probability.
  • mutations are usually the result of something lost or corrupted in the genetic code (or the random repeating of existing code, such as a sixth finger), and not added.
  • There are no historic examples of any mutations adding something to their genetic code and passing them on down to successive generations.
  • most mutations are hazardous to the host, and usually result in their early death
  • DNA-RNA is locked like a combination lock, and makes evolution and “adaptation”/”natural selection” impossible
  • Evolutionists rarely consider the hundreds of transitory stages required to deviate from one species to another.
  • The steps of transitory change from T-Rex to Pelican creates so many difficulties for survival as to contradict “adaptation”/”natural selection”
  • we have no “fossil record” showing transitory phases between any one kind of animal and another, when we should see thousands of transitory fossils between T-rex and bird, and anyn other kind of animal and any other. Embarassingly, we’ve got nothing except conjecture for two animals whom we have only a couple of bones from, and whom scientists posit as two intermediary stages for whales.
  • the slow developement of wings on the T-rex would have made it impossible for him to evolve, as eventually the transitory stages would have killed by starvation all Trexes that reached the midway point.
  • There’s no need to T-rex to have evolved smaller if he’d developed suddenly wings and flight.
  • Animals do not evolve smaller. they end up that way temporarily if they are deprived sufficient food during development.
  • A catastrophe would have been too quick for the T-rex to begin a slow, gradual evolution to bird.
  • All the fossil record proves is that these animals died.
  • The Cambrian Explosion refutes the theory of evolution, in that all the lving beings on earth appeared at once, fully formed, with no transitory forms
  • The Geologic Column is not consistent worldwide, and often does not conform to the theory
  • The geologic column is far more consistent with a worldwide flood than with the “Billions of years/slow gradual rise and change of life” model that science likes to portray
  • All the fossil record proves is that something died
  • petrification takes places much faster than evolution claims, perhaps only a year.
  • By Darwin’s own admission, his theory relies on progressive, slight modifications over a large period of time to create organs – or his theory breaks down.
  • The respiratory, circulatory and pulminary systems are all interrelated – how did this evolve? The absence of one causes the host animal to die.
  • How could an animal live with only one of the first five stages of any of those systems?
  • What advantage would the host animal gain from having a rudimentary heart, but no blood or oxygen?
  • What advantage was passed onto the host animal from the first elementary five stages of the development of the eye? There must be a demonstrable advantage for the host animal to pass on that genetic code.
  • The Trilobite, supposedly one of the first animals, had an incredibly sophisticated eye – no rudimentary eye can be seen.
  • There are only 26 places on earth where the fossil record for the most part resembles the geologic column. There are over 50,000 that do not.
  • Evolution has no proof of cross-kind divergence (rodent to dog), but rather, turns to inter-kind breeding (Wolf to German Sherpherd) to prove its theory
  • There is no missing link – there should be millions of missing links. The whole chain is missing.
  • Science is observable and demonstrable. Evolution is neither.
  • The Grand Canyon bears evidence of having been created in a universal flood, only a few thousand years ago.
  • There have been quite a few “Early Man” finds that later were revealed to be hoaxes, simply monkeys of one kind or another, actual human remains, or even in one case a pig.
  • These same hoaxes or errors often remain in textbooks long after being disproved

Coming at long last to the end of this presentation of Atheism and Evolution.

Most certainly I did not say all there is to say. And I may perhaps revisit this topic in perhaps 18 months or so, and add to it. The focus of my ministry is not a creationist ministry – I leave the advanced arguments to people much better suited, such as Lawrence Smart, or Vance Ferrell, or Kent Hovind.

At least I don’t believe that’s the main focus of this ministry. That’s up to the Lord. But I’ve got many other things to deal with, as I’ve said before.

The long bullet list of points I’ve raised (you know, the one you just skipped over) shows I’ve done some major damage to the theories of evolution (I say theories, because Cosmology is one form of evolution, and I started with that because, well, as I pointed out, one of the forums of atheism was Star Trek, and they advocated the approach I used – and it’s also the approach Sagan used).

Now I know, the ardent believer in SCIENCE will stedfastly hold to their beliefs. It’s just like the Jehovah’s Witnesses I’ve dealt with – many will read what I write and move on, still believing in that which I’ve exposed.

No problem. Good luck. Be aware you may have to explain someday why you did not believe.

And yes! I’m coming right out and saying, I’m trying to get you converted. I think I made that clear right from the start!

For those of you who are ready to accept the fact that Science has misled and indeed even lied to you (uh… peppered moths, anyone?), I’m here to help.

Because the Lord perished on the cross for you, dying and taking your punishment on Himself. All you have to do is accept it. Free of charge.

What’s it going to hurt you?

Absolutely free. Nothing you need to do to earn your salvation. I think that’s what bothers people the most. If I gave you a million things you had to do, like Buddhism does, it seems to satisfy the human nature.

But that’s man’s way, not God’s.

You owe it to yourself to investigate Christianity with an honest, open mind, and a willingness to accept it if it turns out to be correct. Josh McDowell will be the first to tell you, he set out to DISPROVE it. He ended up believing. He’s not the only one.

Remember, you have the rest of your life to make a choice. How long is that? I don’t know. Neither do you.

I’d choose right now.

“Atheists do not claim that nothing created everything.”

For the person who asked for references to the “Nothing equals everything” equation, here it is.

Ray Comfort's Daily Evidence

Many atheists refuse to admit they believe the entire universe came into being from nothing, because it is a scientific impossibility and they recognize how silly it sounds. If everything didn’t come from nothing, their alternative is to say that creation (nature) created itself. However, a thing cannot make itself. To do so would mean that it had to pre-exist before it existed, and therefore it didn’t create itself because it was already in existence. (For where the universe came from, see Isa. 34:4  and Isa. 45:18 comments.) Here is a list of some who have admitted to believing that nothing created everything:

1.      “It is now becoming clear that everything can—and probably did—come from nothing.” —Robert A. J. Matthews, physicist, Ashton University, England

2.      “Space and time both started at the Big Bang and therefore there was nothing before it.” —Cornell University’s “Ask an Astronomer”

3.      “Some physicists believe…

The Birth Of Jesus Christ

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth, 27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women. 29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. 30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. 34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? 35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. 36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. 37 For with God nothing shall be impossible. 38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her. Luke 1:26-38 (KJV)

19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily. 20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. 24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: 25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS. Matthew 1:19-25 (KJV)

1 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, 2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. 3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. 4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. 5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet, 6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel. 7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. 8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also. Matthew 2:1-8 (KJV)

1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. 2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) 3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. 4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) 5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. 6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. 8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. Luke 2:1-14 (KJV)

9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy. 11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh. 12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way. Matthew 2:9-12 (KJV)

15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. 16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. 17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. 18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. 20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them. Luke 2:15-20 (KJV)

lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:20b (KJV)
