Well, the Finished Mystery corrects that claim, by telling you Pastor Russell himself was the faithful slave.
The Finished Mystery tells you Pastor Russell was ordained by both men and God. It also tells you he wasn’t ordained.
The Finished Mystery boldfacedly questions what the Bible says (“yea, hath Goid said…?”), and then contradicts what the Bible says, again and again (“Ye shall not die”) and then never misses a chance to exalt the Witnesses (well, some of them, the Little Flock) to the highest, over the Angels, and Pastor Russell we saw yesterday was exalted over God (“Ye shall be like God, knowing good from evil…”)
We’re almost done with it. The next quote, from page 511 (by the way, I wasn’t looking for these – I just scrolled to a page in the PDF and started writing!) sounds pithy at first… until you reflect on what it says as contradicting the Watchtower Society at the very end of the quote.
Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.— Christ promised that at His Second Advent He would raise up a “faithful and wise servant,” or “steward,” who should watch and give forth in due season meat for the Household of Faith.
This one should be given charge of all the Storehouse, the Word of God, to bring out of it things new and old. (Matt, 24:44-47; Luke 12:42-44.) The Prophet Ezekiel types this servant. As Ezekiel was among the Lord’s people, the Hebrews, in captivity in literal Babylon, this servant was among those in captivity in Mystic Babylon, beside the great river Chebar (“Joining”), the stream of commerce which joins the nations, on which Christendom is founded, and from which she draws her support, as did in a literal sense Babylon from her great river, Euphrates. In the early seventies Charles Taze Russell found himself engaged in commerce, but earnestly studying the Word of God, and striving to teach what he found therein. In fulfilment of the Divine promise the Heavenly things were opened to him (Matt. 3:16), and he saw the significance of the visions, prophecies, given in olden times by the Almighty. He was given a crystal-clear understanding of the character of Jehovah.
Uh-huh, I… ok, well…wait a minute! I thought the position of the Watchtower Society is that the older writings of the watchtower society were as the early morning sunlight, dim, but showing the way. And that new writings were written in clearer light!
And here the Finished Mystery claims that a Christ-Denier was given a crystal clear understanding of God!
Both positions cannot be right. As a matter of fact, the position of the Watchtower Society itself abrogrates any claim of the Finished Mystery being the correct and pure doctrine of the Lord. Why? It was written in “morning light” and is too dark to give “clear light”. So, the writings of the Watchtower Society during the Investigative Judgment would not have been pleasing to the Lord, as they weren’t “pure doctrine” yet!
Think on that for a good, long time. I’ve uncovered things from the Watchtower Society’s own writings that have invalidated this claim no less than three times!
Isn’t it time you abandoned faith in an organization that tells you what to do, what you cannot do, what you can think and cannot think… that enslaves you???
Come out of her. You know in your heart that they’re wrong, you just are afraid of not being one of the great multitude!
By now, over 30 days of posts examining the Watchtower society, I have not only disproved everything the Society teaches and claims, but I have proven the claims of the Bible that the Society disputes.
I’ve proved the Deity of Christ. I’ve proved the accuracy of the Bible and idsproved the claims of the New World Translation. I’ve proved the reality of Hell. I’ve proved salvation by faith and not of works. I’ve proved you must be born again.
Are you born again? Is Jesus Christ your lord and saviour? You’ve been trained to say “Yes” when you know it isn’t true – in other words, trained to lie. Are you prepared to lie to God? He requires you to repent and be born again, to believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ, that he is not only the Christ and Son of God, but God With Us, Emmanuel. Unless you believe that the Lord Jesus is God, you will not enter into the kingdom of heaven, but will endure torment in Hell forever.
Ask yourself if its true. Better yet, pray to the Lord and ask Him to tell you. You’ll see it’s true.
Leave the Watchtower Society, and repent, and be born again. Before it’s too late.
