Jehovah’s Witnesses Answered 29 – The Finished Mystery 6

One post left on the Finished Mystery after today. Almost done with the Watchtower Society for now – I’ve got other topics to write on. For instance I still need to finish writing about the Roman Catholic Church. I’ve got Atheism to deal with, and many more posts on correct doctrine.

I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth

.— The Little Flock, commissioned to carry the message of Present Truth to the remotest outposts of civilization. “They shall gather together His Elect from the four winds.”— Matt. 24:31. Page 163

Yeah, um… no. It means what it says. The four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, are literally four angels. They are literally going to stop the wind for a time. it will stop blowing. Literally. This isn’t some spiritual thing.

Holding the four winds of the earth.— “The winds of the earth referred to here are, of course, symbolic.”

No, they are NOT! And quite a few Witnesses will become aware of that when the winds do literally stop worldwide for a time. Alas, it’s going to be too late for them to go in the Rapture, as it has long passed by this time.

We do not understand that this will be a physical whirlwind, but this symbolic expression is used to convey the thought of a severe strife of the powers of the air. These ‘powers of the air,’ or ‘winds,’ are not powers of natural air, but are the powers referred to by St. Paul when he speaks of Satan as ‘the Prince of the power of the air.’ (Eph. 2:2.)

Well, that’s because you’re literally wrong. It’s literally four angels, stopping a literal blowing of literal winds. I’m going to have to move on here, or i’m going to get an ulcer! Literally.

Argh.

There was silence.— “Assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the defenced cities, and let us be silent there: for the Lord our God hath put us to silence.” (Jer. 8:14.) “They (the clergy) somehow realize that neither reason nor Scripture supports their false doctrines, and that the wisest method is to keep silent, in the shadow of old superstitions and under the protection of so-called Christian governments.”— C158.

In heaven.— In the nominal ecclesiastical heavens.

About the space of half an hour.— On the scale of a year for a day this would mean but a week, and indicates that, as soon as the full number to complete the Body of Christ have been sealed with the Present Truth, persecution in a public way, and on an unprecedented scale, may be expected to begin almost immediately. (This verse should properly be included in Chapter 7.)

Well, it wasn’t. It’s Revelation 8:1. Good to know that Charles Taze Russell feels he has the authority to correct God.

Again, this is a literal silence in heaven, for 30 minutes. i’m going to be standing there at that time. I’ve pictured this moment over and over again, of the silence as the seven Angels walk in procession holding the trumpets. It’s going to be chilling, because the Saved understand the absolute horror the Earth is about to undergo.

And to them were given seven trumpets.— Bugles with which to blow bugle-blasts of liberty from the oppressions of the papacy, leading up to and including the final blast of “Liberty throughout all the land unto all, the inhabitants thereof.”— Lev. 25:10.

NOOO!!! The seven trumpets are trumpet judgments. They release drastic and catastrophic events – wildfires that destroy 33% of all vegetation on earth, something crashing into the sea (LaPalma Island? A Meteor? A Comet?) and killing a third of the ocean life, the drinking waters become bitter, worldwide darkness, two separate attacks by literal demonic forces that torture and kill, and then… the beginning of the vial judgments.

This has nothing to do with the Pope! Nothing whatsoever!!!

And another angel.— Not the “voice of the Lord,” mentioned in the preceding chapter, but the corporate body— the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society, which Pastor Russell formed to finish his work. This verse shows that, though Pastor Russell haspassed beyond the veil, he is still managing every feature of the Harvest work. “The Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society is the greatest corporation in the world, because from the time of its organization until now the Lord has used it as His channel through which to make known the Glad Tidings.” — Z.’17-22; Rev. 14:18; 19:17.

um… no. It literally means another angel. I could say it represents the Boston Celtics, and the Watchtower Society would have absolutely no scriptural room to refute me. Once you start spiritualizing and allegorizing Scripture, anything goes!

Don’t you think, if Pastor Russell truly were in heaven, directing the activities of the Watchtower Society (notice how they place him above God… that quote must shock any witnesses reading it!!!) – don’t you think he’d be a little upset over what Joseph Rutherford said that contradicted him? Or Don Alden Adams, or William Henry Conley, or Fred Franz, or Nathan Knorr, or… you get the picture. The Watchtower Society feels free to re-interpret their doctrine, changing it frequently as they see fit.

And I saw a star.— John Wesley became a star in the Anglican heavens in 1728, at which time he was ordained a priest by Bishop Potter.

Fall from heaven unto the earth.— For many years Wesley had no thought of forming a sect; and yet, unconsciously, he began to do so from the time he was ordained.

Wow. really? Here’s what the Bible really says here.

1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. 2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. 3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. 5 And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. 6 And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. 7 And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. 8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. 9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. 10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. 11 And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon. Revelation 9:1-11 (KJV)

This isn’t the formation of the United Methodist denomination. This is the falling of a devil from heaven to earth, which opens the very spot where large numbers of devils are released, forced to inflict punishment on those who take the mark. By the way, the mark of the Antichrist is a literal mark, just in case any witness was wondering.

Again, read the Bible, understand it literally, read it in context, let it interpret itself. When you do that, you’re shocked by these words. This is going to be a horrible punishment against those who reject the Lord. And i’m telling you, it’s only a taste of the punishment they will endure for all eternity.

From page 210:

All Methodists believe that Bishop Coke, the first Bishop of the Methodist Church received some “apostolic succession” from the original line described in comments on Rev. 2:13. These brethren have grieved that Pastor Russell did not get his ordination from the same source.

Uh… wait! Doesn’t this contradict what The Finished Mystery said earlier about Pastor Russell having two ordinations, one from man and another from God??? Or is this a reluctant admission that what Russell confessed in a Canadian courtroom is true – he never was ordained by either???

And – is the Watchtower Society calling Witnesses “Methodists”? Unless i’m wrong – that’s EXACTLY what this quote from page 210 is saying!!!

Witnesses, better get a copy of the Finsihed Mystery and take it to your local Kingdom Hall, and ask someone for help understanding this verse. Of course, if you get in trouble for this, it’s just a clue that you’ve been in a cult this whole time! Come out of her, my people, and touch not the unclean thing.

Apostasy reigns around us, churches are sliding into worldiness, a whitewashed Gospel is preached everywhere...
