Decisions for 2013

In my searches upon how to write a sermon, the most constant thing I kept running into was that Bible reading should serve as the catalyst for future sermons.

by using the notes function in a Bible program, I should constantly enter notes, observations, thoughts on Bible passages. This should be a priority over 2013, to completely fill Bible Explorer, The Word or even E-sword.

The biggest drawback to Bible Explorer is the lack of ability to customize or create content, If they made this feature available to all, then I could actually create files to use in this manner, such as my own Xrefs.

the notes and observations should serve as the seeds for future sermons. So 2013 should be a complete year of dedicated, deep Bible study, in order to get ready to preach in 2014 – if that’s when the Lord desires me to begin.

Seminary graduate with a Ba. in Theology/Pastoral Studies, Happily married, Independent Baptist. I can't keep silent about what I see going on in Christianity any longer! Apostasy reigns around us, churches are sliding into worldiness, a whitewashed Gospel is preached everywhere... "Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. Jeremiah 6:16 (KJV) So, I'm speaking out. ...Why aren't you???
